Customers
Manage customer profiles, track purchase history, and handle store credit.
Adding a Customer Profile
To add a new customer, go to Customers and click Add Customer. Fill in their information and click Save.
Customer Fields
Each customer profile includes:
- First Name / Last Name - The customer's name.
- Email - Email address for receipts and communication.
- Phone - Phone number for contact.
- Shipping Address - Their default shipping address (street, city, state, zip).
- Platform Usernames - Their usernames on eBay, Instagram, Facebook, Whatnot, etc.
- Notes - Internal notes about the customer (preferences, interests, etc.).
Customer Types
You can categorize customers by type:
- Retail - Standard walk-in or online customers.
- Wholesale - Buyers who purchase in bulk at discounted pricing.
- Consignor - People who consign cards with you to sell on their behalf.
Tagging wholesale customers lets you quickly apply wholesale pricing at the POS without manually calculating discounts each time.
Viewing Purchase History
Every customer profile shows their complete purchase history:
- All POS transactions attached to this customer.
- Date, items purchased, and amount for each sale.
- Total lifetime spend.
- Break spots purchased.
- Returns and credits issued.
This gives you a complete picture of your relationship with each customer.
Store Credit Management
You can manage store credit for each customer:
- Open the customer's profile.
- Click Add Credit to add credit to their account (from a return, trade-in, or promotional offer).
- Enter the amount and a note explaining why (e.g., "Return - damaged card" or "Trade-in credit").
- Credit is automatically available as a payment option when this customer is attached to a POS sale.
Store credit never expires. The full transaction history (credits added, credits used) is visible on the customer's profile.
Customer Status
Each customer has a status that helps you manage your relationships:
- Active - Regular customer in good standing.
- VIP - High-value or frequent customers you want to flag for special treatment.
- Blocked - Customers you no longer want to do business with (non-payers, scammers, etc.).
Blocked customers will show a warning when you try to attach them to a sale or assign them to a break spot.
You can also check a customer against the Scammer Database before doing business with them. Go to Scammer Database and search by their username or email.
