Shipping Labels
Create and print shipping labels directly from the app using EasyPost integration.
Connecting EasyPost
Shipping labels are powered by EasyPost, which gives you access to discounted rates from USPS, UPS, FedEx, and other carriers. To get started:
- Go to Settings > Shipping.
- Create an EasyPost account at easypost.com if you don't have one.
- Copy your API key from your EasyPost dashboard (use Production key for real labels, Test key for testing).
- Paste the API key into the settings field and click Save.
EasyPost provides commercial-rate shipping pricing, which is often significantly cheaper than retail counter rates. You pay per label - no monthly fees to EasyPost.
Creating a Shipping Label
To create a label, go to Shipping and click Create Label:
- Set the From Address (your store/return address). Your default address from Settings is pre-filled.
- Enter the To Address (the recipient). If linked to an outgoing order, their address auto-fills.
- Enter package details:
- Length, Width, Height - in inches.
- Weight - in ounces.
- Click Get Rates to see available shipping options and prices.
- Select your preferred carrier and service level.
- Click Buy Label to purchase and generate the label.
Setting From / To Addresses
From Address
Your default "from" address is set in Settings > Store Info. This is used for all labels unless you override it. You can also save multiple from addresses if you ship from different locations.
To Address
Enter the recipient's full address. The system validates addresses via EasyPost and will flag potential issues (apartment number missing, invalid zip code, etc.).
For most sports cards, a standard PWE (plain white envelope) or bubble mailer works. Common weights: single card in PWE = 1 oz, bubble mailer with top loader = 3-4 oz.
Package Dimensions and Weight
Accurate dimensions and weight are important for getting correct rates:
- PWE (plain white envelope) - Usually qualifies for First Class Letter rates.
- Bubble mailer - 6x9" or 8x10" typical, 3-8 oz depending on contents.
- Small box - For multi-card orders, graded slabs, or hobby boxes.
You can save common package presets (like "Standard bubble mailer" or "Slab box") to speed up label creation.
Carrier and Service Selection
After entering package details, the system shows available options sorted by price:
- USPS First Class - Best for lightweight packages (under 13 oz). 2-5 day delivery.
- USPS Priority Mail - 1-3 day delivery with included insurance up to $100.
- USPS Ground Advantage - Affordable option for heavier packages.
- UPS Ground - Good for larger/heavier shipments.
- FedEx - Various speed options available.
Tracking Numbers
Every label you purchase comes with a tracking number. The tracking number is:
- Automatically saved to the associated outgoing order (if linked).
- Viewable in your label history.
- Copyable for pasting into eBay, Whatnot, or other platforms.
Label History
View all labels you've created in the Shipping > History tab. Each entry shows:
- Date created
- Recipient name and address
- Carrier and service
- Cost
- Tracking number and current status
You can reprint any label from the history if needed.
Voiding Labels
If you created a label by mistake or the order was cancelled, you can void it for a refund:
- Find the label in your history.
- Click Void Label.
- Confirm the void. The refund is processed back to your EasyPost account balance.
Labels can typically be voided within 24 hours of creation if they haven't been scanned by the carrier. After that, refund eligibility varies by carrier.
