Point of Sale

Ring up sales quickly, apply discounts, handle multiple payment types, and process returns.

Opening the POS

Click Point of Sale in the sidebar to open the POS screen. The POS is designed for speed - a search bar at the top, the current cart on the right, and quick-action buttons for common tasks.

Searching Cards by SKU or Title

Use the search bar at the top of the POS screen to find cards:

Results appear instantly as you type. Click a card to add it to the cart.

Adding Items to Cart

Click any search result to add it to the current cart. Each item appears with its title, SKU, and price. You can adjust quantity if you have multiples of the same card.

Note

Items in the cart are reserved - they won't show as available in inventory searches until the sale is completed or the cart is cleared.

Applying Discounts and Discount Codes

Per-Item Discounts

Click the price of any item in the cart to apply a discount to that specific card. You can discount by percentage or a flat dollar amount.

Cart-Wide Discounts

Click the Discount button below the cart total to apply a discount to the entire order. Great for "10% off your whole purchase" deals.

Discount Codes

If you've created discount codes (in Settings > Discount Codes), customers can provide a code at checkout. Enter it in the discount code field and the system will apply the configured discount automatically.

Customer Lookup and Attaching to a Sale

You can attach a customer to any sale for tracking purposes:

  1. Click Add Customer in the cart area.
  2. Search by name, email, or phone number.
  3. Select the customer to attach them to this sale.

Attaching a customer allows you to track their purchase history and apply any store credit they have on file.

Payment Methods

When you're ready to complete the sale, click Pay and choose a payment method:

Trade-In Credit as Payment

If a customer is trading in cards, you can apply the trade-in value as payment toward their purchase. First add the trade-in items and their agreed value, then apply that credit at checkout.

Tip

Trade-in credit is different from store credit. Trade-ins are applied immediately to the current transaction, while store credit is saved to the customer's account for future use.

Hold / Park a Sale

Need to set a sale aside while a customer browses? Click Hold to park the current cart. You can have multiple held sales at once.

  1. Click Hold to park the current sale.
  2. Start a new sale for the next customer.
  3. When the original customer returns, click Held Sales and select their cart to resume.

Processing Returns and Exchanges

Returns

  1. Click Returns in the POS menu.
  2. Search for the original sale by receipt number, date, or customer name.
  3. Select the item(s) being returned.
  4. Choose the refund method: original payment method, store credit, or cash.
  5. Process the return. The item is automatically added back to inventory.

Exchanges

For an exchange, process the return first, then ring up the new item as a separate sale. If there's a price difference, the customer pays or receives credit for the balance.
